We will be celebrating the official launch of "Mission:Possible" an educational initiative to teach social entrepreneurship to low-income youth here in Los Angeles, and we'd love for you to join. 

At the event, we'll be looking for guest speakers, mentors, volunteers and resources to help these students have the best social entrepreneurial learning experience possible!

About Mission:Possible

In 2011, Roozt.com teamed up with NFTE to teach a group of 35 students the fundamentals of harnessing a business model to create social good. That pilot program produced the NFTE National Business Plan Award Winner, Hayley Hoverter, with her social good concept of Sweet dis(SOLVE), a soluable rice-paper sugar packet that eliminates waste in coffee shops!

Now, Roozt & NFTE are expanding our #SocEnt education program to a new classroom at Environmental Charter High School in Lawndale with NFTE teacher Brandie Cobb.

We've set out this year to completely document our entire curriculum, activities, and engagement programs to help NFTE's National HQ re-write their text books and overall curriculum to embed social entrepreneurship in the DNA of all that they do in the upcoming years.

About NFTE 

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship's mission is to provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan for successful futures. 

Founded in New York City in 1987 by Steve Mariotti, a former entrepreneur turned high school math teacher in the South Bronx, NFTE began as a program to prevent dropouts and improve academic performance among students who were at risk of failing or quitting school. 

To date, NFTE has worked with more than 500,000 young people from low-income communities in programs across the U.S. and around the world.

About Environmental Charter High School

ECHS students are builders, investigators, critical thinkers, dancers, gardeners, public speakers, activists, bicycling advocates, actors, musicians, and community leaders. More than 75% of their students are eligible for the federal free or reduced-price meals program. Most of our graduates are the first in their families to attend college. They believe that engaged students in small learning environments can achieve beyond even their own expectations.
